This is the home of D.W. Poppy Secondary’s annual February Blues Jazz Concert and fundraiser!
Another blowout Feb Blues has come and gone, and was a tremendous success!
And finally – apologies to everyone for the delay – we’ve got not only some photos, but also some videos and audio files!
Be sure to check them out in the Gallery!.
Hi everyone,
Thanks to all who have sent their donations in. For those who have not, we are again attaching the letter to solicit donations and the donation form for you to fill out. Please remember that we need both $5-10 gift cards for the Balloon Pop as well as donations for the auction. We can accept used items for the auction but only if they are in NEW condition.
We are also looking for baskets or nice boxes/trays for Silent Auction items. If you have any you could donate, please drop them off in the band room.
Please try to get your donations in by Monday Jan. 30.
Thanks!

Make sure to talk to a DW Poppy music student about getting your tickets. The concert sells out every year, so be sure to get yours soon!
February Blues Meeting
Monday Jan. 9, 7:15 in the Band Room
Please come out to help us finalize our plans. If you have volunteered already, you will be introduced to the coordinator of the area for which you volunteered. If you have not volunteered yet – remember that many hands make light work. J
Hope to see you on Monday.
Kari Furse and the Feb Blues Committee leaders J
Please remember to get your donations for the Silent Auction and Balloon game in as soon as possible. In order to have a successful evening of fundraising, we need many items. We are looking for $5 dollar gift cards for the balloon game and a variety of items for the Silent Auction. They can be used items, but must be in NEW condition. Please fill in the donation form and attach it to your donation. I have included the business letter that you can use to solicit donations from businesses. (It is a read only document but you do not need a password to read and print it.) Although it may seem scary to ask someone for a donation, people are usually very friendly, and the worst thing they will do is say no. I have found that a follow up visit or phone call is usually required after you have dropped off the letter.
Thanks for your help,
Kari Furse
